The main food source for the red panda is bamboo. They eat mainly two different kinds of bamboo out of the tons of bamboo that grow where they live. They eat the leaves one at a time. However unlike usual cherbivores their digestive tract is fairly short, which is more like a carnivour. They have quite a simple digestive tract. However, they lack microbes, which help digest plants, like bamboo. They also have a one chambered stomach, like humans. But that is unusual because that is not a herbivore quality, they usualy have more then one chambered stomachs. They then exit any other waste just like humans.
